This is the beer that started it all for Tempest, a flagship pale ale packed with the finest New Zealand South Island hops they can get their hands on.
If you don't their our story by now, it all started when Scotsman Gavin and Kiwi Annika met working in a brewpub in British Colombia. From there they packed up and moved to New Zealand to learn how to brew beer.
Whilst there, Gavin built his first brew kit from scratch and experimented with different hops and styles until he eventually brewed what is now known as Long White Cloud. This was the beer that made him realise he stood a really good chance at making it in the beer world.
Named for its home land - "Aotearoa", Land of the Long White Cloud - this beer is packed with the likes of Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops, set against a good malt backbone with the finest Scottish malted barley. You'll find notes of light malt, tropical fruits, and citrus, with smooth carbonation and a slightly thicker body than other pale ales.
