Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire at its best. The upper Loire Valley is known for two iconic wine growing sub-regions – Pouilly Fume, and Sancerre. Nearly all wine cultivated in these areas are from the Sauvignon Blanc variety.
Crisp, appropriately acidic, and aromatic, these wines are an amazing experience on both the nose and palate.
Pouilly Fume to the east of the Loire river, are a little more full-bodied than their Sancerre counterparts.
Lebrun Pouilly Fume has oodles of rich ripe citrus fruit with zingy acidity and underlying minerality. Lovely and complex - a proper example of what a Pouilly Fume should be.
Suggested food and wine pairing: Grilled white fish
