Here is where the magic truly happens. We took a portion of this decadent Muscovado stout and laid it to rest in empty Brandy and Oloroso Sherry “blood tubs” sourced directly from Penderyn.

Blood tubs are smaller-than-average casks holding 40 liters. Because of their small size, they offer a massive wood-to-liquid ratio, allowing the beer to rapidly extract intense flavours from the oak. The Brandy casks impart warming notes of steeped dark fruits and toasted oak, while the Oloroso casks add sophisticated layers of roasted walnuts, dried figs, and a touch of leather.
