Extraordinaires Sillages is a vibrant, aromatic Albarino from Les Vignobles Foncalieu, one of the Languedoc's most innovative and ambitious cooperatives. Grown at their vineyard in Puicheric in the south of France and bottled as a Pays d'Oc IGP, it brings one of Spain's most distinctive white grapes to a French terroir with delicious results. Albarino is celebrated for its naturally high acidity, aromatic intensity, and zingy citrus and stone fruit character, and Foncalieu's version captures all of that in a beautifully fresh, food-friendly style. Les Vignobles Foncalieu is no ordinary cooperative, with international winemaking talent, cutting-edge facilities, and over 1,200 estate owners contributing to a mosaic of exceptional terroirs across the Languedoc. Sillages is one of their most distinctive labels, each bottle featuring a different marine-themed design evoking the wake of a boat or the shimmer of a seaside swimming pool.
Sourced from Foncalieu's vineyard in Puicheric, a small commune in the south of France, where the warm Mediterranean climate and the influence of the Pyrenees produce Albarino grapes of natural freshness and aromatic intensity. Crafted by the winery's technical team to preserve the variety's signature acidity and fruit character, with a clean, precise approach that lets the grape speak clearly.
